My contact information is at the top of each page on this web site. If you are experiencing an emergency, or a time-urgent matter, then page me at (925) 397-7777. When you hear the beep, beep, beep, then key in your phone number (including area code) that you can be reached, and then push the # sign.

A courtesy free 20-minute telephone consultation is available for new clients to answer any questions about my practice, approaches and background. I look forward to hearing from you to explore how I can help you help yourself.

My private practice works by appointment. My hours are usually from about 9 AM to about 9 PM during the normal Monday through Friday workweek. Sometimes clients are seen on weekend days given genuine emergencies or, in very unusual situations, if no other time can be found.

Dr. Friedman's Therapeutic Purposes

Dr. Friedman's Practice | Dr. Friedman's Approach | Therapeutic Purposes | Core Therapeutic Orientation

My practice is about inhabiting this present moment, witnessing and "buying out" of the ego-mind's unworkable patterns, desensitizing root emotional charges, and gaining effective tools to thrive in the world. My vision for our work is for clients to unlearn their learned limitations and have an emotionally satisfying and completing experience with their challenges. Free the ego, and you are free.

"We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are."
—Anaïs Nin

I deeply care for my clients and I am strongly committed to doing "what works," that is, "teaching the toolbox" of effective technologies, building upon powerful practical distinctions and workable living skills.

I approach therapy as a "calling" and consider it a privilege to contribute to the quality, satisfaction and fulfillment of people's lives.

My vision is to empower people to release learned limitations and become unhooked and unmanipulated by the imaginary self or ego-mind. This includes taking responsibility and be accountable for their health on all levels, and enhance living in a Win-Win system.

My vision is for clients to broaden awareness, deepen self-knowing and reveal the core Self to develop an ability for inner self-compassion and honest witnessing.

My vision emphasizes the incalculable value of being awake, present, aware and alive right now in a process of inquiry and discovery, revealing the True Self by listening and acting in concert with one's truest "inner voice."

My vision focuses on client's developing sustainable and recreate-able solutions, resulting in enhanced well being, wholeness and being one's True Self.

I vow to give my all, to do all humanly possible and offer more than what is bargained for to support people in fully accessing and expressing who they truly are, thereby experiencing a fulfilling, contributing life.
