Good magazine ("The Science of a Meaningful Life"): This magazine
is published quarterly from the University of California, Berkeley. It started
out as a twice-yearly print magazine in 2004 and shifted to quarterly publication
in 2007. It is available now only on-line and features wonderful research-based
articles and practical human resources for all who bring a vision of living the
good, meaningful life. All current and past issues are available on-line for free.
There is also a page devoted to parents and the "science for raising happy
kids" with highly practical posts to support healthy parenting as well as
a blog called "Half Full" offering quick, practical and fun tips on

ReaderThe Best of the Alternative Press: Utne Reader, sometimes
called the Reader's Digest of the alternative press, offers alternative coverage
of politics, culture and new ideas drawing upon numerous independent magazines
that goes back to 1995. It offers a wonderful archive of articles in the categories
of arts, environment, great writing, media, politics, science & technology
and spirituality. It also feature Utne Daily, Utne Blogs and the Salon as well
as registering to subscribe to several newsletters, including Emerging Ideas-Every
